Baptisms

Baptisms

Baptism is a celebration.
Baptism marks the beginning of a journey with God which continues for the rest of our lives. It’s a first step in response to God’s love. For all involved, it is a joyful moment when we rejoice in what God has done for us in Christ. It’s about making a serious and public declaration of faith. The local church welcomes the person being baptised, promising support and prayer for the future.

If you would like to be baptised or would like one of your children to be baptised (sometimes called a christening) you will need to live within our parish or be a member of the church. You can check if you are in our parish using the 'Find your local Church' search feature.

Please come to one of our services and ask to speak to the vicar or church warden about baptism afterwards.

If you have any other questions please contact the Administrator at the St Cuthberts church office between 9.00am to 12.30pm (Tel: 01772 719710) on any weekday or use our contact form
