Church Electoral Roll

Why do we have one?
The electoral roll is St Cuthbert’s register of electors; it is a list of those qualified to attend and to vote at the Annual Parochial Church meeting (APCM – held in April each year), where the elections take place for:
Church Wardens
The Parochial Church Council (PCC)
The parish’s representatives on the deanery synod
Any person entitled to attend the Annual Parochial Church Meeting may also raise any question of church interest.
What difference does it make?
By enrolling, you become a voting member of the Church of England and can help to ensure that (all) church councils are representative of its members. In reality you would probably only want to be involved in electing our own PCC and perhaps asking a question at the APCM.
Being on the electoral roll allows you to be part of the decision making process at St Cuthbert’s.
If you have been worshiping with us for some time, please do consider adding your name to the
electoral roll.
I am happy to answer any questions and provide the relevant form for completion.
Anne King – Electoral Roll Secretary.
